Smith System’s Commitment to Your Safety and Health
Providing safe training experiences for DriverDirect and DriverTrainer students has always been our #1 priority. This focus is even more comprehensive today as we have added non-driving health protection measures in response to the recent COVID – 19 pandemic. The following actions have been taken to protect your students while training: (1) Comprehensive COVID-19 guidance is in place for our Open Enrollment classes, detailing how to protect against transmission of the virus (including implementing PPE, hand sanitizer and frequent cleaning of high-touch areas) and procedures to ensure, before the class begins, that students are well and have not been recently exposed. (2) Social distancing in Open Enrollment classes with smaller classes, increased vehicle size, agenda adjustments and minimizing the travel exposure of our Instructors. (3) Virtual DriverTrainer Recertification options have been added as well as one-on-one DriverDirect Open Enrollment and Hosted experiences.
We believe in the responsible and safe return to training while staying vigilant and following the recommended procedures and protocols by the World Health Organization (WHO), U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and local authorities. To that end, we have begun opening classes in those areas that have been cleared for activities similar to our classroom and behind-the-wheel training. Smith System training has been preventing crashes, lowering costs, and saving lives for more than 68 years. Our training is more relevant in these trying times than ever before.
